A Journey Rooted in Turkish Art
Istanbul Grand Bazaar is more than a place to shop. It is the continuation of a journey shaped by art, craftsmanship and a passion for sharing Turkish culture with the world.
Our directors are ceramic artists whose connection to traditional Turkish art began long before Istanbul Grand Bazaar was established in Australia. With 30 years of experience working across different countries and introducing Turkish art and craftsmanship to people from many cultures, they developed a deep appreciation for the way art can bring people together — regardless of language or background.
That experience eventually became the foundation of Istanbul Grand Bazaar Australia.
Our vision was simple: to create a place where people could discover the beauty, colour and craftsmanship of Türkiye right here in Australia.

From Türkiye to Australia
When Istanbul Grand Bazaar was established in Australia, we wanted to create more than a traditional retail store.
We wanted every visit to feel like discovering a small corner of a Turkish bazaar — filled with colour, intricate patterns, beautiful craftsmanship and pieces with a story behind them.
Over the years, Istanbul Grand Bazaar has grown and connected with communities through shopping centres and locations across New South Wales and Queensland.
Today, our stores continue to bring together Turkish-inspired homewares, mosaic lamps, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, gifts and many other pieces selected to reflect the richness and character of Turkish design.
For us, however, Istanbul Grand Bazaar has never been simply about the products on our shelves. It is about the culture, artistry and stories behind them.
Keeping Traditional Art Alive
One of the most special parts of our journey has been giving our customers the opportunity to experience the creative process themselves.
Our Turkish mosaic workshops were created as a way to share the techniques and inspiration behind one of Türkiye's most recognisable decorative arts.
Rather than simply taking a beautiful piece home, our guests can sit down, choose their colours and patterns, work with mosaic glass and create something that is uniquely their own.
Our workshops bring together friends, couples, families, children, colleagues and visitors from many different backgrounds. Some come to learn something new, some come to celebrate a special occasion, and others simply want to spend a few hours creating and connecting.
And, of course, Turkish hospitality is part of the experience — with Turkish tea, apple tea, Turkish coffee and Turkish delight adding a little taste of Türkiye along the way.
Our Stores & Our Community
From Sydney to Brisbane, our stores have allowed us to meet thousands of customers and become part of the communities around us.
Today, you can find Istanbul Grand Bazaar and our workshop experiences across our locations in Sydney and Brisbane, including Castle Towers, Miranda, Chermside, Carindale and Mt Ommaney.
Over the years, our journey has also taken us to many other shopping centres and communities throughout NSW and Queensland.
Some customers first discovered us years ago at one of our previous locations and continue to visit, shop with us online or return to create something new at one of our workshops.
That ongoing connection with our customers is one of the parts of our story we value most.
